As many of you enter a new fiscal quarter, we’ve been working hard to help you become more productive and efficient within Koan. Take a look at some of our new product features and improvements (no joke!)
Goal Closeout Scorecard
With Q1 behind us, many of you are working on closing out your goals for the quarter. We’ve now launched the new capability to score KR’s while closing them out, including the ability to record learnings and celebrate the wins.
In the past, managers had a difficult time deciphering whether an OKR was successful or not. Your new goal scorecard allows leads to formally document the results of OKR. This new Goal Closeout feature:
Completing the closeout process can also help executives and managers gauge what OKRs to focus on for the following quarter. Learn more.
As you head into Q2 planning as a remote team, look out for Koan’s streamlined goal creation experience. In the past, entering goals into Koan required a traditional input, where people had to fill out every field individually. Between page transitions and navigating which details are required and optional, it became tedious and time-consuming to add multiple goals at once.
To streamline the goal creation process, we’ve now created the ability to add new goals directly within the goal list. Entering multiple goals in quick succession is now as fast as entering data into a spreadsheet. Learn more.
With the improved goal closeout and creation features, we also launched Presentation Mode with the intent to make running a team meeting in Koan as efficient as possible. Presentation Mode automatically curates all team OKR information in one place, and generates a slide deck to use when reviewing team goals. We hope that Presentation Mode helps to drive productive discussions as you move to a new quarter of OKRs. Learn more.
Coordinating work and staying focused as a team has never been easy, especially now that we're all remote. We’ve recently launched Daily Check-ins, an asynchronous, Slack-based stand up replacement for teams that are dispersed in time and space.
Once a day, everyone on the team is asked to share their progress from the day before, plans for the day, and any concerns they may have. That update is then posted in a Slack channel and Koan’s Check-ins view, which is a great place for managers to track progress and for users to save time during weekly reflections. Learn more.
Within each team, individuals tend to work on several goals and submit their own confidence score. But how would someone at a higher level understand the likelihood of success? That's where Koan’s Confidence Index comes into play!
Within Koan, confidence is a leading indicator of achievement, and our updated Confidence Index feature can help teams detect problems early and navigate uncertainty.
Within the new Confidence Index, you can have a single-sourced score from leads and contributors, see confidence trends over the past quarter, and understand how a team or an objective is doing at a broader level.
We hope the new Confidence Index helps leaders get an honest appraisal of team OKR progress. Learn more.
